Taikodom is not exclusively constituted by corps. Guilds, Independents, or groups related to the corps are always with doors wide open to all kinds of pilots. Each affiliation works as an exclusive club. By paying the affiliation tax, you get a series of benefits for a pre-stipulated period of time. There are three affiliation packs available that span for 30, 90 and 180 days – the choice is yours –, during which you can enjoy the benefits you acquired.

Compare the affiliated player with the non-affiliated (who uses a free account):

 Despite the privileges, in becoming an affiliate you also become an “Eyes of the Council". The Collegium is an institution formed by the most advanced Artificial Consciousnesses of Human Space. It acts as an impartial justice and tries to be a sort of shepherd for organic humankind. An “Eye of the Collegium” is an individual who allow these CAs free access to all that they see or hear. In exchange, the Collegium gives back to its affiliates a series of benefits not found anywhere else: exclusive spots in hangars and deposits, high insurance cover, access to far away areas and lots of other stuff (check the table above). 

The new position is identified in your curriculum by a title and a medal. Affiliations are acquired with hoplons (second monetary currency).
