Hoplon launches the Taikodom Universe webpage

An expedition through time, history and technology of Human Space

 

Hoplon Infotainment, the Brazilian company behind the space action game Taikodom, has just put on the web a new product for the Portuguese-speaking public. On the brand-new webpage (www.universotaikodom.com.br ), visitors will interact with it and learn a lot more about the story designed for the Universe of Taikodom. The company’ writers have been developing it for about 4 years now. Going through at least a quarter of a millennium, in which several narratives take turns inside literary works, comics and the whole fiction behind, readers will should make up their mind which way to go across the Universe: Timeline, Archive, Hypatia and Works.   

First suggested by Gerson Lodi-Ribeiro, one of the universe creators, writer of the short stories available at the Works section of the page, the Timeline outlines the main advances and difficulties that led humankind to conquer Taikodom – meaning Power over Space. Research on Science&Technology, Space Society, Human Space and Historical Events is done through the Hypathia Network device – “neural encyclopedia” sort of thing,  offering over 150 entries organized into as real brain connections. In the Archive, visitors move into documents especially selected by a puzzling and daring character. The Archivist shares his deepest concerns, fears and not so sure ideas about the historical cycles of Taikodom. “Opiniable” content apart, he promises a nice surprise at the end of the road… All areas of the Taikodom Universe page were planned by Taikodom web editorial and Hoplon’s Fiction Universe department to grow bigger as more content goes in the page.

The English version of the webpage is not finished yet. It will be soon available. At the moment, you can check on the Portuguese page to see how the English page is probably going to look like.
